The famous fortress Tsarevets is situated only 4km from Ksilifor. It was the main fortress during the Second Bulgarian Empire when Veliko Tarnovo was the capital of Bulgaria. Tickets can be purchased opposite the entrance.

Trapezitsa is a hill in Veliko Tarnovo, as well as a fortress in the medieval capital city Tarnovo. It is a natural fortress surrounded by the Yantra river.

The Sound and Light audiovisual show is an unique attraction in Veliko Tarnovo. It is broadcast year-round, regardless of weather conditions and can be viewed free of charge during national and city holidays.

Samovodska charshia is the most popular street for tourists in Veliko Tarnovo. It formed as a street for craftsmen and tradesmen in the 1960s and 1970s, and to this day preserves this appearance as a busy street.

Almost everywhere in the old part of Veliko Tarnovo there is a view of the Asenevtsi monument. The monument is dedicated to the four rulers of the Asenovtsi dynasty – Peter, Assen, Ivan Assen II and Kaloyan.

Mini Bulgaria is a park with miniature models of some of the most famous landmarks and show places in Bulgaria. It is located very close to the main cultural attraction in Veliko Tarnovo – Tsarevets. Here you can see the miniature of Tsarevets, the Monastery of St. Ivan of Rila, many of Bulgaria’s palaces and strongholds and more.
