Architectural-museum reserve Arbanasi
The village of Arbanasi is spread over called Arbanashko plateau north above Veliko Tarnovo. In the past, wealthy merchants lived here who sold their products throughout the Ottoman Empire and beyond.
The former residents built impressive houses for their time, some of which can still be seen today.
Today, the village is a popular tourist destination that provides excellent opportunities for walking, relaxing in peace, culinary experiences and visiting various sights. There are a total of five churches and a museum in Arbanasi that can be visited.

Peter and Paul Monastery "St. St. Peter and Paul"
The Lyaskovo Monastery "Saints Peter and Paul", better known as the Petropavlovsk Monastery, was founded during the reign of the brothers Peter and Asen during the revival of the Second Bulgarian State.
The monastery is located on a hill with an impressive rock, where there was once a fortress that guarded the possessions of Asenevtsi. The uprising in 1185 was prepared there. for the liberation of Bulgaria from Byzantine rule.
From the terrace there is an impressive view of the Danube plain and the ridge of the Elenska Balkan, and the area is wonderful for nature walks.

Church "St. Forty Martyrs", city Veliko Tarnovo
The church is among the most significant medieval Bulgarian monuments in Veliko Tarnovo. It was built and frescoed during the time of the Bulgarian king Ivan Asen II, in honor of his great victory in the battle of Klokotnitsa on March 9, 1230.
Here is also the grave of the king and his wife Anna-Maria. The church is connected with a number of significant events in the history of Bulgaria, one of the most important of which is the declaration of state independence on September 22, 1908.

"Gurko" Street, Veliko Tarnovo
The street is near the city center and is named after one of the generals who took part in the liberation of Bulgaria. It is one of the most beautiful and picturesque streets in the old part of Veliko Tarnovo.

where we will always stop on our way to Greece. My heart has been
